The School Council Visit The Houses of Parliament

The John Keble School Council visited the Houses of Parliament on Monday 5th June 2017 which included a guided tour of the House of Lords and the House of Commons.

The children saw statues of various political figures such as Sir Winston Churchill, Margaret Thatcher and Sir Clement Attley and they also learned about the Suffragettes.  The council members had the opportunity to talk to some of the people who work in parliament and learned lots about the history of parliament, including when the grand structure was built.
