Community Links

John Keble School has many close links with a variety of organisations.

As a Church of England Primary School, we have close links with many of the local churches, particularly our two parish churches, All Souls Church and St Matthews' Church.  We have close links with The Salvation Army and Harlesden Community Church.

John Keble School has many sporting links too. We work with Chelsea Football Club who deliver morning football clubs twice a week in school. We have community links with Queens Park Rangers Football Club, where we attend a range of tournaments and football festivals.  Alternative coaching deliver boxing clubs in our school to improve fitness levels of our pupils.

Again as a Church of England School, we are part of the London Diocesan Board for Schools. We work very closely with them and our most recent SIAMS R.E. Inspection was Outstanding. We have close links with the other Brent and London Church Schools and meet regularly to exchange ideas.

Harlesden School is one of our neighbouring schools. The teachers from same year groups in the two schools meet and support each other again exchanging ideas and looking at standards. We are involved in joint projects,  with two other neighbouring schools, Christchurch and St Mary's School.  These projects are helping improve standards.

We have links with the Brent Music Service (BMS), which enables our children to learn an instrument during their school day. BMS provide music teachers to tutor the children at a subsidised cost and provide a wide range of opportunities for local children to tap into. Children in Year 4, 5 and 6 learn to play the steel pan drums.

In consultation with Brent council, Crownhill Road has been designated as a school street. A School Street is a road outside a school with a temporary restriction on motorised traffic at school drop-off and pick-up times. The restriction applies to school traffic and through traffic. The result is a safer, healthier and pleasant environment for everyone. The school street is currently being enforced with CCTV.
