Celebrations for the Royal Wedding

To mark the marriage of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, John Keble School had a day of wearing the colours of the Union Jack, lunch out on the lawn and a bake sale at the end of the day.

The children started the day with an assembly about the Royal Wedding. They then enjoyed an outdoor lunch in the warm sun in their year groups with cheese, tuna and egg rolls as well as carrot sticks for the starters and chicken drumsticks or vegetarian sausage rolls for the main course. For desserts, the children had a choice of iced sponge cake or fresh fruit and fruit juice to wash it all down with.

At the end of the day, we had a bake sale which was a huge success due to the amazing help of the parents, teachers and children. Thank you all for a fantastic team effort!
